Sloane Simba.....
Sloane Simba was having a miserable holiday thus far. His first born Georgy had been impregnated by her cousin, Sean Simba, and was refusing an abortion. To make matters even nastier, Sloane’s ex-wife, Caroline Cheetah, had been caught by the paparazzi canoodling in Simba’s Bistro with Sean. It was all one big pride related goat fuck as far as Sloane was concerned.
On a more pleasant front, though not in love, Sloane was at least getting a fair amount of comforting from Lucy Cougar. Running from his depressing home, lacking wife and offspring, Sloane was spending a great deal of his time in Lucy’s lovely bush home garnered in her divorce from Ashley Lyon. There he spent weekends when his cubs were with him. Lucy had a house full of kids and was a very relaxed mom. When small Cindy and adopted son Sunny would visit, there was a good time for all in Lucy’s lively household. She invited Sloane to her parent’s annual All Thanks Day bash at their splendid home on Leoparde Drive. Sloane accepted although wondering what Sylvia and Bernard’s feelings were about his first divorce from Bernard’s niece, Caitlin Cougar. Lucy convinced him that the issue was aged water under a very old bridge and he consented to go following his attendance at his own pride function at Sarah Lee Simba’s new home. He didn’t dare invite Lucy to that one since the Simba pride had many prickly internal situations at the moment. With the exception of Roy Lee, one could never count on Simba pride members being entirely cordial. They could be a testy lot.
“I want to give you a Christmas gift that you truly want and will be meaningful for you, Darling,” announced Shane Simba to his wife Alexandra one evening before a roaring fire in the mansion’s family room.
“I would like a Hummer, Luv. I’ve always wanted a family since I could remember and now that I have one, I want the perfect vehicle to drive them around in,” she giggled.
“A Hummer?” he laughed. “You can have ten Hummers but what about other things?”
“Just that, Luv, I have everything I want in this world in you and our collective children.”
“You’re amazing and I am the most happy I have been in my entire life with you and the family we have.”
Lachlan enjoying breakfast on our patio before we left for the dinner at Jack and Betty's....
All Thanks Day dawned bright with a cloudless sky, most unusual for this time of year in Kenya. Lachlan and I had a leisurely breakfast, replete with Bloody Marys, and dressed for our dinner at Jack and Betty (Chimpo) Tarzan’s home. We were to take Bertram and Gloria (Chimpo) Baboon with us to the occasion.
Things were humming in the home of Sarah Lee and Leander Simba. Roy Lee got there early to help with the preparations which included caterers from the pub grilling to everyone’s satisfaction.

At Sylvia and Bernard Cougar’s home the couple checked their guest list for the last time and met Rhonda Rhino and her caterers when they arrived to make the preparations.
The Lyon pride compound was also buzzing with activity. A huge spread was to be set up on the porches of various bungalows. Doris Lyon had been cooking for four days in the state-of-the-art kitchen in the main bungalow. Dodi Dik Dik Lyon and Kerri Klipspringer had their bong out for a final smoke before attending the party. Lewis and Gina Lyon had arrived early with their two sons bringing a truckload of goodies for the bash.
The Dorian Cheetahs’ gathering was to be held at the home of Christine Cheetah Mbube since it was a great deal roomier than the townhouse owned by Dorian and Cynthia.
Gerald Giraffe was already partying, some of his guest having arrived early. He was dressed in a spangled muumuu and already quite drunk, planting juicy kisses on the cheeks and heads of everyone present.
In the apartment of Imani Lyon and Georgy Simba the two were discussing the day’s events and their choices.
“I have to go to the Lyon lunch and the Simba dinner. You have to go to the Simba dinner and Cougar bash. I wish we could skip all of them and go straight to the pub. They’re having a Smashing Pumpkins concert,” bemoaned Imani, lighting a Marlboro.
“I want to go to the Simba thingy. Sean will be there,” stated Georgy, drinking her herbal tea which she had heard would increase fetal intellect.
“Oh shit,” snarled Imani. “I need another roomy. All you care about is that dickhead.”
The Simba pride began to gather in the late afternoon for the festive occasion on All Thanks Day. Roy Lee Simba had engaged workmen to festoon his mother’s yard with small, twinkling lights on bushes and in trees. They would remain until the New Year. Sarah Lee’s house was alight and music was playing on the sound system as the guests arrived. The string of official cars pulled into the driveway and let out the President, his wife, children, Bernice Bear and an unexpected guest, the President of Tanzania, Pete Levin. Pride members and their families mingled on the patio, curried lawn and indoors. Imani Lyon was languishing in a corner, very close to one of the bars. She was smoking a cigarette and drinking a beer when her bored expression turned to one of interest. She saw the tall figure of Pete Levin as he was being introduced by her great uncle Shane Simba.
“Fuck, he’s hot!” she said, nudging Georgy who was sitting close by watching for Sean Simba to arrive.
Pete Levin the recently elected lion president of Tanzania.....
“This is my pal, Bop Boon,” announced Chloe Cougar as she entered her parent’s home trailed by the overdressed-for-the-occasion baboon actress.
“So glad you could join us,” said Sylvia Cougar, elbowing her husband Bernard who was always seemed slightly dazed when faced with his daughter, Chloe.
“It’s good to meet you, Bop,” said Bernard.
“Let’s head for the bar, Bop. I could USE a drink,” said Chloe, leading Bop to the garden.
Sloane Simba, having gotten rather tipsy at the Simba affair, walked to his next invitation on the same street. Sloane had found that he couldn’t stomach the sight of Sean sitting with Georgy on one of the many couches that grace Sarah Lee and Leander’s home. Being greeted warmly enough by Bernard and Sylvia at the Cougar homestead, he soon found Lucy. She gave him a huge hug. He was glad he had made the decision to join that group.
Imani Lyon at her great grandmother's All Thanks Day bash.....
Imani Lyon found the bathroom door unlocked at her Simba great grandma’s home. She had followed Pete Levin there. She made a last minute primp to her hair, adjusted her skirt and opened the door. She found the lion president of Tanzania, fly open and pissing. He looked up in surprise, mingled with consternation when he saw Imani Lyon walk in. He made an attempt to put his apparatus back in his pants and zip his fly. However it was to no avail. Imani was all over him, caressing him wildly. His was a lost cause. He ended up humping the great niece of the current president and granddaughter of the former president of Kenya propped against her great grandmother’s lavatory. Much to Pete’s surprise he enjoyed every lascivious moment of it. Imani Lyon fell in love for the first time ever.
In the Lyon pride compound, Staci Simba Lyon, pregnant and recently married to Ashley Lyon, was enjoying the warmth and ambience of the Lyon pride members.
Staci Simba Lyon at her first holiday bash with the Lyon pride.....
“I love your family, Ash. For some reason they seem more relaxed than the Simbas. Your dad greeted me so warmly and so did your mom,” reported Staci to her husband.
At that moment Lewis Lyon and his wife, Gina, came to greet Staci. Lewis, in his warm and caring way, gave Shane Simba’s daughter a bear hug. Gina did the same. Staci was delighted to be a family member as she hugged Gina back.
“I can’t tell you glad I am that my best friend’s daughter is now a member of our pride,” said Lewis.
Later when she and Ashley dropped by the Simba party, Ashley was greeted like royalty by the members of the Simba pride. They had a great time there as well. It was a very good day for the first time mother-to-be who was also very in much in love with her husband.
Sean Simba drove from his grandmother’s home to the Mbube home in the bush where the Cheetah family was gathered and celebrating All Thanks Day together. He didn’t go in but merely blew his car horn. Caroline Cheetah heard the horn and knew the signal. She bid her parents and siblings goodbye and ran to Sean’s car. Her children would spend the night with Dorian and Cynthia. Sean drove off at great speed. They were anxious to exit all family gatherings and go to Sean’s where they would have a rip roaring good time in the king size bed in Sean’s room.
Loud music blared from every speaker in the barn and yard but no one cared. Gerald Giraffe’s shelter was deep in the bush country. He wanted it that way. Gerald’s gay friends were more at ease and able to party hardy. Gerald was already as drunk as a road lizard when Lachlan and I arrived from our midday soiree at Betty and Jack Tarzan’s home. He greeted us with restrained sobs. Gerald was a threat to weep copiously when smashed. Any thing could trigger a freshet of tears. This time it was his recent lover, fashion designer Duke. Montecore, another lover of Gerald’s, had condescended to attend this year’s bash. Gerald’s current spasm of tears was the misconstrued thought that Montecore and Duke wouldn’t get along. This was sheer nonsense. Neither male was that much into Gerald to feel jealousy. In fact, Montecore and Duke sat on Gerald’s couch in deep conversation, which Lachlan felt was the real reason for Gerald’s tears. However, I have always known for a fact that Gerald Giraffe ENJOYS a good boohoo – especially when lit. Much later that night, Bertram Baboon joined the party. He had cut loose from wife Gloria for his ‘real life’ as he told Lachlan and me.
After the Simba bash, Alexandra and Shane saw their twins to bed and enjoyed a cognac in their boudoir before a warming fire in the grate.
“Luv, we are now left with only Christmas to please others and then we will have the winter, spring and summer to please Kenya and ourselves,” was Alexandra’s take on the holiday season.
“And we will do just that,” agreed her husband, stroking her arm. “How about France this summer?”
“We do have to make sure we are here for the birthing of Ashley and Staci’s cubs – your first grandchildren,” she added with a giggle. “You will make an extraordinarily sexy grandpapa.”
“The thought makes me laugh.”
“Why, Luv?” she asked, her hands caressing his chest.
“Because, it wasn’t that long ago that I was a cub myself and filled with fleas and ticks,” he laughed.
“You with ticks?” she sputtered.
“I had a terrific infestation of them, darling. Do you mind that thought?” he teased.
“Oh, I wish you had a photograph of yourself in those days, Luv. I’m sure you were adorable and quite fierce,” she giggled.
“The only photographs I could possibly have would be any taken by Discovery or Animal Planet. The Simbas knew nothing of cameras until Roy Lee became a film star.”
“I would love to have seen you at that age,” she said, placing her head on his shoulder.
“Solly is my clone but a much more civilized version of me,” laughed Shane.
“Solly is adorable and very, very special.”
